The following photo is the ubiquitous PHOTO PROMPT. Study it. There are many roads you can take. Tell us where it leads in a hundred words or less.
*BEGINNING, MIDDLE AND END *
I couldn’t have imagined a more romantic setting, for our honeymoon, than the Grand Canyon with its breathtaking views.
In spite of the cold winter winds and the ominous clouds which followed us, we threw the top back on the rented, 1991 white Mustang, and drove the historic Route 66.
The vast open range, Havasupai Indian Reservation, with its free ranging cows, and the hills of Sedona left me speechless with delight.
The caverns took us back in time, Hopi House gave us a piece of pottery history, and our companion clouds a Canyon blizzard.
I enjoyed what I’m guessing was a true story.

I’m si glad you enjoyed it. Those sights are probably the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. The Canyon makes one feel so insignificant compared to its greatest. Thanks for stopping by the Cow Pasture. I hope you will visit again. I look forward to more conversation.

This is my first trip to the Cow Pasture, so please be gentle and don’t let me step in any patties. I enjoyed the sightseeing and the road trip. I have traveled parts of Route 66, but not that far west. Looks like you had a great time in the convertible.

Me too. I grew up on a farm. Dad milked cows and sold the milk to the Kraft cheese plant in Bentonville, AR. We also raised chickens for Tyson and a couple of hogs a year for our own consumption. I’ve stepped in plenty of cow patties. It washes off. 🙂

I like the name “Cow Pasture Chronicle.” (I hope I got that right, from memory).

You did. I settled on the name because growing that is where I would escape to write in my journals. I literally jumped a fence, dodged the bulls and cows and sat by a stream and wrote. It was my haven and escape. I’m glad you like it and please stop by again.

There a lot of fine memories recalled here and a reminder of how vast this country is. There is so much to see. Did you do this trip recently? I know they try to preserve historical sites. I hope there are still some to see.

Thanks for the memories. Hubby and I had an anniversary weekend at the Canyon. Sedona is one of the more beautiful places on the planet, I agree. critique: The non-parallelism of the three clauses in your last sentence confuses me. Are you using “clouds” as a noun or verb? Also, “Mustang” needs a capital.

Thanks so much for your feedback. It’s amazing as many times as I read something I’ve written, that I can still miss a few things. Clouds is a noun. I was referring back to “the ominous clouds that followed us.” Sorry if that was clear, but again appreciate the feedback. I’m glad you stopped by the Cow Pasture and I look forward to having more discussions in the future.
