WELCOME

Author Profile Pic 1917764_100238193335700_4734312_nHi and welcome to the Cow Pasture. My name is Sheila Good. A retired nurse in my former life, I published my first piece in 1989, in the Nursing Journal, on the topic of organ donation and transplantation. But, it was not my first foray into creative writing.

As a girl, I escaped a crowded house, among other things, to the nearby cow pasture and underneath tall oak trees wrote reams of poems, stories, and rantings on life (if you can imagine an eleven-year-old’s rantings. My audience was the black spotted cows that always stood near and gave me courage. Thus, began my love affair with words.  If you’d like to know more, check out my About Me page.  And for a real glimpse into who I am, check out my Flash Talk Pictorial: I’m a Southern Belle.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

Writing is a journey, and this is part of mine. Here, you can find writing tips I’ve acquired along the way, resources I’ve discovered, and share with you, my fiction and non-fiction stories, essays, and prompts. Writing is a journey, and I hope to make your visits to the Cow Pasture fun and informative.

WHAT I’D LIKE FROM YOU:

Participation, feedback, critique, and hopefully a  sharing of information. Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to a long and exciting partnership on our journey in writing. Words are sacred, and together I hope we can nudge the world.

  1. Hey
Thank you for taking the time to step on over to Love Relaished Ink. It’s wonderful to have your whimsical soul as a new companion on my long and winding road.
From what I have seen of your blog so far, I’ve no doubt you are already finding writing a totally engaging and personally fulfilling experience. I hope the pleasurable company of words will always flow and follow you as you flow following the flow of your flowing path flowing into the wide blue yonder, and flow onwards towards the adventures that follow the flow beyond that…
Best wishes. Take care always in all ways for always.
    Namaste

  2. Hi! From browsing around your blog it appears getting to know you is sure to be fun. From a comment on another blog your title grabbed my attention. I recently moved back home (from TX and Ar) to a small cattle ranch (with an auto body shop) in southeastern Washington. Home is rustic, a bit backward technologically speaking but, I live with some of the best creatures on earth. It’s very nice to meet a fellow fence jumper, Sheila. ❤ Sincerely, Roo
