Arctic Wind Funnel

The Daily Post Prompt – Funnel

Jesus, Can’t stand this winter weather. Tree branches stretch out their bare arms waiting for the caress of sunshine and the cloak of new greens leaves.

I stand on the edge of the porch and watch the funnel of frigid, arctic air swirl through the spindly, bare branches, scattering the dead leaves of another year like spent confetti.

  1. Really good word picture. I think the cold is so hard for us because at least here in my corner of PA the winters have been fairly mild for the last three to five years. This IS winter, after all. And as I cross off each day, spring comes 24 hours closer 🙂
